Over the past four decades, GINO
GOSS has honed his skills as a trumpet and flugelhorn
artist adding Latin jazz percussions to
his repertoire. While attending
college at University of Arkansas, Gino
played with the band Brown Sugar.
Gino has performed with some of the best
in music including the late Art Porter,
Jr., Kim Waters, the late Art Porter, Sr.,
Yolanda Adams, Freda Payne, the Clark Sisters,
Jimmy Jam with Time Band, B.B. King, Dean
James, Paid N Full Band out of Minnesota,
percussionist for St. Mark Church, with
the tenacious drummer Victor Reynolds,
and the legendary percussionist Red Jack. While
a member of Portrait Band and Westside
Band Gino performed as opening act for
such artists as Prince, Morris Day and
The Time, Bobby Blue Bland, The Barkays,
Confunkshun, B.B. King, The Deele, Natalie
Cole, The Gap Band, Rick James, Tina Marie,
The O’Jays, Cameo, and many others.
A master artist and performer, Gino decided
in 2008 it was time to break away and embark
on his own, forming Gino Goss and Jammajazz. In
2009, he released is debut CD ALMOST
FAMOUS to glowing reviews. ALMOST
FAMOUS was written and produced by Gino and Tete
‘B’ on Gino’s independent label Jammajazz
Records, Inc.
